Evolving from its namesake coffee tables, the Cala bench comprises a coarse concrete base covered with thick epoxy resin, evoking the lacustrine landscape of Como. Resin is cast in layers to recreate a deep and shifting top, that seems to reveal the lakebed underneath. The asymmetric composition and rounded shapes resemble the jagged shores smoothed by flowing water. The full set consists of four pieces that can be positioned in a circle or inverted and alternated to create dynamic layouts.
